Stitching by hand techniques
Running stitch and basting stitch - the two are, in theory, the same kind of stitch . The needle moves above and below the fabric. The running stitch is much smaller is used to outright seams in parts of the fabric that are not so and that the sample need not be stretched (as in the side seam of the skirt for example) and is used for making sheaths.
The backward stitch. It is also used in embroidery and also is much stronger. The only downside is that it takes a lot line.
Blindstitch consists of very small dots of joining two pieces of fabric. The nodes are on the wrong side of the fabric. It is commonly sewn from the wrong side and that is visible on the right side are almost imperceptible dots.

The importance of Rag doll in children's life
The origin of the rag doll is as old as human history and probably their first appearances were in Prehistory. They came to be seen as children's toys in the eighteenth century representing human values, cultural and historic importance.
Currently, we are faced with numerous distortions regarding the supply of dolls for children made with synthetic materials (plastics, rubbers, etc) that are used in constructing of these dolls, and do not stimulate the child's imagination, they are cold, and do not offer anything to child development.
As educators and parents, we must ask ourselves:
What do we want our children and what values we want to pass on to them? What is the actual function of the toy?
The doll to the child is a very close friend ,whether in play, the sorrows and joys in bed while sleeping, therefore the child establishing a relationship of immense value with the doll, and it does not occur with other toys.
The child needs to experience different kinds of natural materials such as sheep's wool, felt, knit cotton, etc.. In fact, these materials are alive and awaken warmth, safety. That she can learn from this type of doll.
Egyptian Cotton
| Did you know that Egyptian Cotton is considered the best in the whole world? Yes, its true. Anyone can see the difference between normal cotton and Egyptian one, broadly associated with quality products. However, I have seen most products bearing the name are not made with the finest cottons from Egypt and sometimes people complain that the perfect Egyptian cotton can not be found in Egypt. I need to disagree with this theory when I do have cotton from Egypt and Europe with me, I can touch both and see a huge difference. Another misconception is that there is no cotton production in Egypt and this is not true, what we have its that Egyptian cotton is classified into four types. Giza 86 and Giza 88 are of the highest quality and are cultivated in the Delta region. The other two types, Giza 80 and Giza 90, are planted in Upper Egypt and are of lower quality and the high quality its mainly for exportation, but it does not mean it can not be found in Egypt, that depends where you search for it. |
